Snow Belle My lovely girl thrilled us all at the CHAPS champs

Our very special yearling filly (well we think she is!!) was a star at the CHAPS Championship show. We had a long journey of 6 hours (Cause Kate had the Sat Nav on her lap and forgot to tell me to turn left off the motorway!! Bless and the traffic!!!!) we put her to bed she was nice and chilled and ate her tea. On the Saturday my dear friend Cindy and her daughter Olivia drove up to show Belle and am so grateful to Cindy for doing this i know how busy she is and how pushed for time but Belle does really know when her Auntie has got her.

She went into the Yearling final as her 1st class and i must admit i thought she would be about 3 rd but was thrilled when she was pulled in top and stayed there. She then went onto the Hack and Riding horse class which she also won. So through to 2 championships in the evening performance we then had a mad rush to borrow kit for Cindy to wear but all sorted she went in and was so good under the lights with the crowd and music it was a very strong championship and all the others where older and more mature but she thrilled us with a res. She then went on to contest the yearling of the year award again she was a star and won the over all championship.
And here are the lovely pictures with great thanks to Equination.

Thunderstruck or William to his mates!!!

William has now decided that the judges riding him is not a bad thing and has been a star.
He thrilled Liz and me by getting his Royal International Ticket at the Royal Cornwall. He has since been registered BSJA and will be jumping and comcentrating on his Workers.

Liz really deseaves a hugh pat on the back for this. She has worked so hard with him. Our thanks also to my chum Mathew Lawrence who has spent time shouting at both Liz and William.

Dowhills Frilly Tilly

Tilly is my dear 2 year old large Hack filly. I love this filly as well as being a stunning animal she just has the most lovely temperament. She just amazed us all when we took her to Devon County she had never been off the farm, plaited or loaded and just took it all in her stride and didnt worry about a thing bless her.

Mark Northam kindly showed her as i cant keep up with her walk let alone trot with her she has such a long stride!!!

Well she was a star and won her class beating some very nice animals and some top producers and then to our utter amazement went on to be Reserve Champion. The judges comments to Mark where lovely he said he thought her a lovely filly and a proper hack stamp and that once matured will be unbeatable. They made my day!!

We have now put her out in the field to fatten and mature and she will be out for the NPS finals and that will be it for her this year.

At last time to sit down and update!!!!

Its been so busy we have not had time to update this for soo long. Liz has been nagging me as we have had some great successes in the ring and some some really stunning foals.
Now where do i start.

Foals

Bob the cob or really Dowhills Rebellion is just turning into the most cracking small hunter. My dear chum Cindy came to see him and just raved about him. He has such lovely limb and really can move.

Lottie is our filly to make a hack she is by Mastermind out of Gem our Another Hoarwithy mare. She is a cracking foal and very elegant.

Milly is just to stunning for words. She is out of Whiteleaze Laura May by Mastermind and just moves for fun. We sold her full sister to Ireland earlier on this year and they are thrilled with her. ( I dont know why but her picture has loaded above Bob and i dont know how to move it!!!)

Fidget is a lovely SHP colt foal out of the Sec A mare by High Society this colt is very special we think he will be a super star under saddle as a lead rein SHP we have already had a lot of interest in him but i secretly hope he doesn't sell so i can foal show him.

Wally is a bay colt by Excellente out of Strinesdale Serenade this one was nabbed by Carmen Gridley before he was born and is going to be the most lovely Small Hack what a front he has!!

Twix is a bay colt out of my friends lovely Quin mare by Mastermind he is a lovely boy and will be a cracking 13.2hh show pony.

Last but one of my favourites is my lovely Molly she is just fab so pretty and elegant out of my Diva (by Bandmaster out of my old TB mare Jojo mother of Thunderstruck and Snow Patrol) and by Mastermind this is a truly lovely filly and will be a small hack.

Please come and see our babies we are so proud of them they are an outstanding bunch.

Foals at last

Yes we fianally have 2 foals!! 1 being Bea who has given us a colt which i think will go grey. Bea herself has begun to recover from the terrible weather beat that even though she has worn rugs still seems to bother her, she was very late with this boy who i have nick named BOB he is so sweet. He is by the Irish Draught we had here on keep. So we will wait to see how big he gets!!!!!!!!
The other foal is from dear old Hesper Mary Rose she gave birth to a lovely bay filly by our Sedgelands High Society its soooo cute.

The shows also are beging to roll so watch this space for results.

Also Sue Cunninghams lovely Riding Pony mare has had a cracking foal by Excellente. She is a really strong filly. I will be watching this one!!

I am back!!!

God it seems to be a long winter!!! and very cold but this past week we have seen light at the end of the tunnel. We have been busy with William and Fred in door show jumping and both have improved a great deal.
We have also bought a new TB stallion and are so far thrilled with him. He is now settling and getting into our routine and getting used to a mixed yard and having girls one side of him (well Belle) and Tim the other!! He is a smart chap and i am sure he will make an impact on the hack world as a sire. We have decided to stand him at a very cheap fee (£250) this year so we can get some stock on the floor by him. He does have a very sweet nature and easy to do.
Mean while Excellente has come through the winter looking fab and has put on loads of condition. We have now turned him out with some mares to learn some manners when covering ie we dont rape!!!! and he has turned into a total gent. I dont think i have ever come across such a complete change in a horse as this. He was always a poppet to do in the stable just a handful covering but he is now so lovely. He is living out but i am piling food into him.
Archie has also come through the winter well and has been living out with his Irish Draft friend Revel who he is very fond of!! (loves to boss him because Revel bless him is a bit short of brain cells!!!) Revel is now for sale and really will make someone a lovely ridden cob.
We have sold a great deal of our ponies now and Scooby has gone out on lease for a year ( I do miss him little toad!) his babies have turned out to be really super.
Belle is off to boarding school with my dear friend Cindy for a few weeks. Cindy knows this family so well and i know she will come back a much better person for it. Not that she is bad.

I am so excited about seeing some of our babies come out under saddle this year and i do wish Rebecca and Teddy (Snow Patrol) and Mathew Lawrence with Storm the very best of luck. Keep me posted.

Also i have been very lucky in acquiring some very lovely brood mares and am so excited about their babies. Watch the website for their details to be posted soon.

In the meantime we start foaling in 3 weeks so sleepless nights here we come. I will keep this up to date then.
